Letter to self

One picture per month, 30 September 2015

Dear Yiannis,

Next time you travel for work, please remember to review all the pictures you have taken on the way, in between and after the event you were assigned to photograph. I understand that memory is as valuable but as lately you seem to have been stressing about forgetting things and you are getting increasingly attached to your post-it notes and your agenda, please do yourself a favour and respect your clicks! Do you realise that there are plenty of moments to treasure that could have been lost if you haven’t photographed them?

Remember that revisiting them and sharing with your travel companions will only make them happy and you will avoid insisting calls and messages a year later. But most importantly, you will discover there are some beautiful images left untouched at the bottom of your archive that really deserve better exposure. They could also be ideal material for you monthly newsletter that you unacceptably fail to send a couple of times a year. Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Yiannis

One picture per month is a monthly mini newsletter by photographer Yiannis Katsaris. We are not a big company so don't expect endless news emails. The newsletter will feature one of Yiannis' recent pictures or one from his archive. If Yiannis is lucky enough to have his pictures exhibited, published or something worth mentioning you will receive these updates too. This communication platform aims to be a gift in your inbox rather than a traditional newsletter.
