Easter in Agrigento

One picture per month, 28 April 2011

In the old part of the city of Agrigento, Sicily, the statue of Jesus is carried during the procession on Good Friday from 8pm to midnight. Hundreds of people fill the narrow streets to follow the parade. Even if you are not religious there is a solemnity to the occasion that’s contagious.

One picture per month is a monthly mini newsletter by photographer Yiannis Katsaris. We are not a big company so don't expect endless news emails. The newsletter will feature one of Yiannis' recent pictures or one from his archive. If Yiannis is lucky enough to have his pictures exhibited, published or something worth mentioning you will receive these updates too. This communication platform aims to be a gift in your inbox rather than a traditional newsletter.
